Our position

A diamond's price should be a fact, not a negotiation.

Fine jewellery has always been sold with the arithmetic hidden. The stone, the metal, the hours at the bench, the certificate — all of it collapsed into one number, and that number set by how much a room thinks you'll pay.

We think that's a poor way to sell something meant to last generations. So we publish the breakdown. Every piece, every component, every line of it.

Exceptional jewellery should be defined by craftsmanship, not unnecessary markups.

Diamond guide

Lab-grown, clearly explained

Quality is what you choose.

Cut, proportion and finish make a diamond feel exceptional. Origin should be clear; value should be honest.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. They have the same crystal structure, chemical composition and optical properties as mined diamonds. The difference is origin: one grows in a controlled laboratory, the other forms in the earth.

What is CVD?

Chemical Vapour Deposition grows a diamond layer by layer from a diamond seed in a carbon-rich chamber. CVD stones are graded by the same 4Cs used for mined diamonds.

What is HPHT?

High Pressure High Temperature recreates the intense conditions under which diamonds form. It may be used to grow a diamond or, where disclosed, to improve the colour of a grown diamond.

CVD or HPHT—which is better?

Neither method is automatically better. Cut, colour, clarity and the individual stone matter more than the growth method. We assess the finished diamond and share its grading report.

What are the 4Cs?

Cut describes how well a diamond returns light; colour grades how colourless it appears; clarity records inclusions and surface characteristics; carat is its weight. Cut has the greatest influence on visible brilliance, while the four grades together help compare diamonds consistently.

Do lab-grown diamonds come in colours?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are available in colourless grades and colours including yellow, blue and pink. Colour may develop during growth or through a disclosed post-growth treatment. We identify the colour and treatment status in the stone documentation.

How is OUVRA gold hallmarked?

Every OUVRA gold piece is BIS hallmarked and carries a traceable HUID for its stated purity. Depending on the design, we work in 14K, 18K or 22K solid gold, and the hallmark confirms the karat supplied.

Do the diamonds come with certification?

Yes. OUVRA diamond jewellery is supplied with diamond documentation from SGL or IGI, recording the applicable stone specifications and verification details. Your final order documents identify the laboratory provided with the piece.

What is the OUVRA exchange policy?

Eligible OUVRA pieces receive exchange credit based on 100% of the assessed prevailing gold value and 80% of the assessed diamond value. The piece must pass verification, and the final credit follows the exchange terms in force when it is submitted.

Do you provide lifetime service and warranty?

Yes. OUVRA pieces include lifetime service and warranty support, including inspection, cleaning and manufacturing-defect assistance. Normal wear, accidental damage, loss and third-party alterations are assessed separately under the warranty terms.
